Our design process

Every project at Gustavo Woltmann Web Studio follows the same basic path. The details change with the size of the job, but the steps stay the same, so you always know where things stand and what happens next.

1. Conversation

   We start by listening. What do you need the design to do? Who is it for? What do you like, and what have you tried before? Gustavo Woltmann will ask plenty of questions, and there are no wrong answers.

2. Brief and quote

   We summarise what we heard in a short written brief, with the scope, deliverables and schedule. Alongside it you receive a free quote. Nothing starts until you are happy with both.

3. Research

   We look at your market, your competitors and your existing material. For websites, we also plan the structure: which pages you need and how visitors will move between them.

4. Concepts

   We explore several directions and present a focused selection, explaining the thinking behind each. You see real designs applied to your content, not abstract mood boards.

5. Refinement

   Your feedback shapes the chosen direction. We refine type, colour, imagery and detail until the design is right, and check it on every size of screen or in printed proof.

6. Production

   For print, Mei-Xin prepares press-ready files and we can liaise with your printer. For the web, Federico builds and tests the site across browsers and devices.

7. Delivery and care

   You receive the finished work and the files you need. Many clients stay with us afterwards for updates, new material and ongoing website care.

What we need from you

• A main contact who can give feedback and make decisions.
• Your existing logo files, brand colours and fonts, if you have them.
• Text and photographs, or a conversation about whether we should help source them.
• Honest feedback at each stage. It is always easier to change direction early.
